Frequently asked questions

Is this against Jagex's rules?

No. The plugin is read-and-report only: it reads data the vanilla client already shows you (your quest journal, skill tab, gear) and never automates gameplay or gives an in-game advantage. It's the same category as approved plugins like Wise Old Man and TempleOSRS. We never touch Jagex credentials — you log in through RuneLite's own flow.

Is it free?

The plugin and everything data-driven — audits, quest plans, roadmaps, gear advisor, slayer advisor, diaries, records — are free, permanently. Only the AI features (the goal-advisor chat and AI-tuned picks) use credits: every account gets a welcome grant worth roughly 100 advisor messages, and after that you can subscribe or plug in your own OpenAI key for free.

How do I link my character?

Sign in with Google, click Generate link code on the accounts page, then paste the code into the Account Audit plugin's settings while logged into that character. That in-game step is what proves the character is yours — no passwords involved, ever.

Can I link multiple characters? Can someone steal my character's slot?

One login can hold as many characters as you play. Each character can only be linked to one account at a time — a second person trying to claim your character is refused. Unlinking frees it.

What exactly does the plugin send?

Quest states, quest points, skill levels, worn equipment, achievement diary tiers, and personal-best times — with your consent, to your private profile. Bank contents are a separate opt-in toggle (off by default) and are stored encrypted. The full manifest is published as SCOPE.md in the plugin repository.

Who can see my data?

Anyone can look up what the official hiscores already publish. Everything the plugin syncs — quests, gear, bank, records, chats — is visible only to you when signed in.

How do recommendations work? Are they AI hallucinations?

No — the math is deterministic. Requirements, gaps, roll odds, and prices come from a solver over wiki-ingested game data and live GE prices, with every method citing its source. The AI's only job is judgment: choosing between solver-approved options and explaining them for your account. It cannot invent a method or a rate.

What if content is newer than the AI knows?

The advisor can search the web when a question involves content beyond its knowledge — it prefers the OSRS Wiki and official news, and any answer that searched lists its sources at the bottom.

Does it work for ironmen?

Yes — recommendations respect ironman-safe methods, and ironman-specific progression is an ongoing curation focus. Tell the goal advisor you're an iron and it plans accordingly.

How do I delete my data?

Unlinking a character deletes its synced data immediately. Delete account on your dashboard permanently wipes everything — identity, characters, chats, memory, keys, usage history.

Why isn't the plugin on the Plugin Hub yet?

It's being prepared for submission. Until it's approved, it can be run from source using RuneLite's standard developer workflow — instructions are in the plugin repository.

Where does the data come from?

The official OSRS hiscores, the OSRS Wiki (game data and orderings, used with attribution under CC BY-NC-SA), the wiki's real-time GE prices, and cited community guides (e.g. Theoatrix). Every recommendation shows its source and review date.
